An extra-judicial notification dated April 24, 2019, was sent to Trafimovich by registered mail.<\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n

The extra-judicial notification was also forwarded with CC to the Department of Education of the Oktyabrsky District Administration in Minsk and to the Ministry of Education of the Republic of Belarus.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As you know and understand, International law and the Belarusian national law grant equal rights to the parents concerning their children, including the right to communicate without hindrance and to take part in upbringing, despite the disagreements between the parents (preamble, Article 3, Article 21 of the Convention; Articles 75, 76, 77, etc. of the Marriage and Family Code).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

These rights are recognized, including by the law of the Republic of Belarus. This letter aims to remove hindrances in the communication of Nicolas Cheropoulos with his daughters, Alexandra Cheropoulou and Anthoula Cheropoulou, and teach the girls their father\u2019s native languages for their unhindered communication.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n\n\n\n

As we have been informed by our client, by your actions, you ignored any attempts, efforts, and appeals of Mr. Cheropoulos to allow him to see and spend time with his children during his visits to Belarus. We consider this behavior a violation of the children’s legitimate interests, having the right to the father\u2019s upbringing and love.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Mr. Cheropoulos came to Belarus in April 2019 to congratulate his younger daughter, Alexandra, on her birthday on 1 April. On the morning of 1 April (Monday), he, together with his interpreter, went to the kindergarten that his daughters attended in the hope of seeing them and giving them presents. He went without a preliminary registration because he was afraid that he would not be allowed to see his children if he had informed you about his arrival.<\/em><\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

Ms. Trafimovich refused to receive the registered Post, and there was no reaction from the Belarusian authorities, although they were included in the post!<\/em><\/strong><\/h4>\n\n\n\n
