Priests and nuns of the St. Elisabeth Monastery in Minsk and parishioners staged a procession with church symbols. The song \u00abKatyusha\u00bb played in the background. The video was published by the Telegram channel Khrystsyanskaya Viziya.<\/strong><\/p>\n<\/blockquote>\n\n\n\n

According to the Telegram channel, the priests staged a procession similar to a religious procession – in their hands, they carried lanterns, crosses, and icons, which are usually used in such cases. But in the background, no traditional religious chants or prayers sounded, but the military song \u00abKatyusha\u00bb.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

Some carried St. George and Russian flags, including one with the Z symbol that Russia used when attacking Ukraine. In their hands, the participants carried portraits, probably of their relatives who fought in World War II. Largely because of this, the action of the priests was a march in the Immortal Regiment procession.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Khrystsyanskaya Viziya also published<\/a> a photo of nun Alexandra, who leads a group collecting aid for the Russian military, holding a Russian flag with the Z symbol.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

As indicated<\/a> on the temple’s website, on May 9, a prayer service, a procession of the Immortal Regiment, was held at the men’s compound. Also at the event were a youth performance, \u00abChildren for War\u00bb<\/strong>, karaoke, a quiz on a military theme, and a concert. A \u00ab<\/em><\/strong>minefield\u00bb<\/strong>, laser tag, an obstacle course, and a shooting gallery were organized for children. \u00ab<\/em><\/strong>Victory Day is a holiday of spring. The day of the defeat of a cruel war, the day of the defeat of violence and evil. The day of the resurrection of love and kindness\u00bb<\/em><\/strong>, the clergy believe.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

Recall that in the St. Elisabeth Monastery, the Russian military\u00a0is collecting help<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0and writing letters to them with the text \u201cDear soldier from Belarus\u201d. It became known in November 2022.\u00a0The project \u201cHelp to Brothers\u201d was opened in the monastery, and a volunteer group was created in August 2022, \u201cwith the initiative and blessing of the spiritual father of the monastery, Archpriest Andrei Lemeshonok.\u201d<\/p>\n\n\n\n

In the same month, the nuns of the monastery with a trading tent\u00a0were noticed<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0in Warsaw – local activists then tried to achieve a ban on trade in Europe for them.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

On January 7, 2023, Alexander Lukashenko\u00a0praised<\/strong><\/a>\u00a0the St. Elisabeth Monastery, which he visits on Christmas Day, for collecting help for the Russian military in Ukraine.<\/p>\n\n\n\n
