After numerous phone calls from my lawyer, A.K., to the education authorities, they began to give answers. The local school for Anthoula is No. 35.<\/em><\/strong> <\/p>\n\n\n\n

Dear Nicolas Cheropoulos,<\/p>\n\n\n\n

With regard to your appeal, the Education Department of the Oktyabrsky District of the City of Minsk reports the following.<\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to the list of residential buildings assigned to institutions of general secondary education, approved by Decision of the Administration of the Oktyabrsky District of the City of Minsk No. 554 dated May 12, 2020, residential building 64 on Kizhevatova street in Minsk is assigned to the State Educational Institution \u201cGymnasium No. 35 of the City of Minsk\u201d.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

According to Paragraph 4 of Art. 90 of the Code of the Republic of Belarus on Education, a compulsory foreign language for learning is determined by the founder of the educational institution, taking into account the state’s needs and the educational institution’s capabilities.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

At the State Educational Institution \u201cGymnasium No. 35 of the City of Minsk\u201d, English is taught at the basic level starting from the third grade, and at the advanced level starting from the fifth grade.<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

There are no educational institutions providing studies in the Greek and Swedish languages in the Oktyabrsky District of the City of Minsk.<\/strong><\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n

In accordance with Art. 20 of the Law of the Republic of Belarus \u201cOn Appeals of Citizens and Legal Entities\u201d, you have the right to appeal this response to the Minsk City Executive Committee (4, Nezavisimosti Ave.).<\/em><\/p>\n\n\n\n
